The MasterCana Social is an annual award presented by MasterCana, a magazine that covers the Brazilian sugar-energy industry. The award recognizes and highlights companies that adopt socially responsible practices and contribute to the sustainable development of the local communities where they operate.

The Best in ESG annual awards are presented by Exame magazine to Brazilian companies that implement best practices in ESG. In 2022, Raízen was recognized as the top company in the Fuel, Chemical and Oil Products category.

EcoVadis is a platform that aims to encourage companies to implement social responsibility practices, leveraging their influence on their value chain. Raízen has participated in this assessment since 2015. In 2021, the company’s performance earned it a silver medal.

The Brazilian Stock Exchange’s Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE-B3) is used as an indicator to recognize the commitment of publicly traded companies to corporate sustainability. Before 2022, Raízen was only eligible to participate together with Cosan.

The Empresas Mais award is an initiative of the O Estado de S. Paulo newspaper that recognizes Brazilian companies that stand out in various industries.

Raízen placed 4th in the overall ranking and 3rd in the Wholesale and Distribution category, in addition to other categories. Raízen Energia placed 71st in the overall raking.

The LITA Award (Latam Inclusive Tech Awards) is a unique initiative that identifies companies that are actively working to transform Latin America by supporting an inclusive and diversified digital economy.

In 2021, we placed 9th in the ranking of Brazilian companies for investing in innovation with startups. In addition, we placed 1st in the Renewable Energy category. Pulse, Raízen’s innovation hub, was named one of the 25 ecosystems that most promote open innovation in partnership with startups.

In 2020, we placed 7^th in the 100 Open Corps ranking, an initiative that recognizes the corporations that invest the most in open innovation by partnering with startups in Brazil.

Every year, the American business and economics magazine Forbes selects and honors 10 companies that stood out in the pursuit of innovative solutions for consumers. In 2021, we made it on to this selective list thanks to initiatives such as Pulse, Raízen’s innovation hub.

This award encourages, recognizes and rewards people management, social and environmental practices of companies, industry associations and suppliers of products and services in the Brazilian sugar-energy sector that help promote social well-being and sustainable development.

Exame magazine’s Melhores e Maiores (“Best and Largest”) is one of the most important business rankings in Brazil. Based on Raízen’s 2021 financial statements, the company placed 6th in the overall ranking and 42nd as a group. Our Fuel business ranked 10th in the overall ranking.

We placed 4th in the ranking of Brazilian companies for investing in open innovation with startups in 2022. We were one of the companies that invested the most in innovation to find solutions to market challenges. Pulse, Raízen’s innovation hub, was named one of the 25 ecosystems that most promote open innovation in partnership with startups.

We were named by O Estado de S. Paulo newspaper as one of the 100 most influential companies in mobility in the country. This recognition is the result of electromobility projects, the expansion of Shell Recharge charging stations and our commitment to ESG. All energy used in our Shell Recharge quick charging stations is 100% clean and renewable.

Shell is named a Top of Mind brand in the gas station segment in Brazil in a survey published by the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper.

The Valor 1000 Award, presented by the Valor Econômico newspaper, recognizes Brazilian companies with the best financial performance in the previous year. In 2021, we placed 4th in the overall ranking, 4th in the ranking of the 50 largest companies by region, 9th in the Oil and Gas category, 2nd in net revenue, and 10th among the 20 highest EBITDA.

In addition to placing 4th in the overall ranking, Raízen earned 1st  place in the Innovation ranking.

In 2021, our Fuel business ranked 10th and our Energy business ranked 23rd in the overall ranking.

The project “Compar trilhar: beyond the Foundation's walls”, implemented by the Raízen Foundation in 2022 as part of the Ativa Infância (“Active Childhood”) program, was recognized at the second Escolas pelo Clima Congress for encouraging sustainable practices involving elementary school children in the city of Jaú, in the state of São Paulo.

As Melhores da Dinheiro (”The Best of Dinheiro”) is an award presented by IstoÉ Dinheiro magazine. We placed 4th in the overall ranking and 1st in the Fuel, Oil and Gas sector. We were also 1st in the Financial Sustainability, Human Resources and Innovation and Quality rankings.

The Brazilian Stock Exchange’s Carbon Efficient Index (ICO2 - B3) was created to serve as an instrument to foster discussions on climate change in Brazil. The inclusion of companies in the ICO2 recognizes their commitment to transparency regarding their emissions and reflects how well they are preparing for a low-carbon economy.

As Melhores da Dinheiro (”The Best of Dinheiro”) is an award presented by IstoÉ Dinheiro, one of the most important economy and business magazines in Brazil. We placed 6th in the overall ranking and 1st in the Fuel, Oil and Gas sector. In the Fuel sector, we also placed 2nd in the Innovation and Quality category, in addition to being recognized in other categories.

Our project “Raízen expands its renewable solutions and invests in the sustainable production of biogas” was one of the winners of the 2021-2022 ECO Award, presented by the American Chamber of Business (AMCHAM) in recognition of sustainable trends related to ESG practices.
